The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those looking to get rid of mopping off their to-do lists. Some of them have excellent mapping and obstacles avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than the other models on this list, making it easier to navigate in tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of the best navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last up to 170 minutes when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.

It's fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in one go. The suction motor's 8,000pa will quickly pick up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs and the double side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as impressive. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into tight corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be used to sweep larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried.  robot vacuum cleaner cheap  doesn't make the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's easy to install and works well however it's something you'll need to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a variety of features.

The device is equipped with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and efficiently. This results in an efficient, consistent clean which is also relatively quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. They can reach corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a stretchy side brush that can be extended to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

Another feature worth mentioning is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it must make, which will determine the speed at which the device can move through your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.

This device is expensive however it has many useful features. It's crucial to note that it incurs periodic expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example brushrolls need to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be changed every three month.

This robotic vacuum cleaner is rated highly on Amazon and offers a wide range of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a Home' button to send it home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home tidy without spending too much time on chores. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop that is, it can do both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two parts, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module that is equipped with a microfiber pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair from pets. It was able capture an enormous amount of hair our cats shed and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was silent and also had a few pleasant jingles that indicated when it was about to start or finished its work.

The app was too basic and you had to alter the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which can be a hassle when you live in a house with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, however it also has distinct features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start cleaning and then recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock which is a great feature for parents who are worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognising objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. Although this is not a common occurrence however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't have a "stuck" status alert on its app.

Another possible issue is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a big difference from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxy units.
